Distribution Partners
Masonite aims to service the needs of architects, builders, contractors and developers through a first class nationwide network of distributors. These companies will be timber engineering specialists and builders’ merchants carefully selected for their proven ability to deliver in the UK’s demanding public and private building sectors. Masonite will work in close partnership with these distributors to set and maintain the highest standards in all areas of supply, from advice on contract tendering, design input and order management through to installation assistance and post-completion after-care
Product Development
Masonite has invested a significant amount of money in developing the most flexible I-Joist production plant in Europe. This supports the research and development work going on in-house to develop technologies for the next generation of I-Joist systems. The company has also developed and patented a unique building system capable of producing structures up to 8 storeys high with 10m clear spans. Masonite will continue to improve its technology and production to bring innovation to the industry and construction practice.
Investment in Staff
Whilst Masonite I-Joists, Beams and systems have been available in the UK for a number of years, 2008 has seen major investment in the company’s manufacturing facility in Sweden, together with more investment in growing business in the UK. This has meant the development of bespoke design software, the recruitment of Neil Lewis as Sales Manager, and the recruitment of specialist, dedicated engineering and design staff. A company expansion plan is well underway, and plans exist for Masonite to strengthen its team with more design, engineering and sales staff.
Software Development
Masonite’s aim is to maintain its software at the top end of what is available in the market. Future developments will include a comprehensive business management section and on-line stock forecasting and ordering.
Future Growth
Masonite has been in the UK since the 70s and already has a well established high volume business in Europe. Masonite’s I-Joist products represent the best value for money in terms of price to performance and can assist distributors and builders to provide cost effective solutions in all markets.
