The manufacturing process of Masonite I-Joists is so efficient that the maximum use of the whole tree is achieved, thereby keeping wastage to a minimum. The high efficiency of the 'wood to I-Joist' conversion process means that for a specific volume of Masonite I-Joists, far fewer trees are harvested than those required to produce an equivalent volume of solid sawn timber joists.
